My Week One Recap
As you all know, we lost in the last 2 seconds of the game last Sunday. That is the first time that I have ever suffered a defeat like that. But the one thing that I learned through all my years of playing football is that it never comes down to one play. There are plays that happen throughout a game that also can dictate the outcome of a game.
I thought the Panthers were a really good football team. They were big upfront with a solid running game and a QB that I respect a great deal now that I've played against him. There is no doubt in my mind that we could and should have won the game, but we didn't and now we have to go back to the drawing board.
The most important game of our season is this Sunday against the Denver Broncos, who looked real impressive on MNF against the Raiders. The Broncos will come into our game with a chip on their shoulders because we have won the last four in a row and last year they didn't even score a touchdown on us. Jay Cutler looked real good and so did the running backs. They also get Brandon Marshall back, who's coming into his own as a premier reciever In the NFL. With all that said the San Diego Chargers only can worry about one thing, and that's controlling what we do and doing it to the best of our ability. This is a game that a true football fan is going to wanna watch. There will be a lot of trash talking, hard hitting, and big plays being made. So make sure that you tune in.
Finally, if anyone has any questions for me please feel free to drop a line. God bless.

Shaun-
Big fan of yours ever since I interned for One-on-One with Jane Mitchell on Channel 4 San Diego during the story she did on you last season. Also think you're going to have a monster year and I picked you up in two fantasy football leagues with IDPs. I think you're going to be better than Merriman and the new leader of the defense along with Cromartie. Hope your son's doing well.

Thanks for all the support I won't let you down.

Shaun, now that the emotional leader is out for the season, is anyone (maybe you) going to try to fill in that role or is even that particular thing going to be a team effort ? I suppose Shawne will still be with the team though.

We have a bunch of guys that are born emotional leaders, one being myself. It will be tough to replace shawne but the show must go on. Unfortunately it's the nature of our business... when one man is down another has to step up.

Shaun,
You are a great athlete! I am proud that that you are a San Diego Chargers and our new leader for the linebacking corps.
That game belonged to you. Such a great rally in the second half! So much team spirit! I know you and the rest of the team will be able to turn it around. Kudos to you man! I am glad you are mad! Go get 'em! -
