In a rematch of the 1991 ACC Championship, the Duke Blue Devils avenged their loss from the previous season by defeating North Carolina, 94-74. It is Duke's first ACC Tournament title since they beat UNC in 1988. Christian Laettner had 25 points, 10 rebounds, seven steals, and two blocks on his way to being named the ACC Tournament MVP. Grant Hill scored 20 points and dished out seven assists. Bobby Hurley added 11 points and 11 assists. Hubert Davis scored a team-high 19 points for North Carolina. George Lynch had 15 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
